The Father of Modern Longboarding
Steve Walden shaped his first surfboard at 13 and went on to become one of the most influential longboard shapers in surf history. While others chased shortboard trends, he refined high-performance longboards, eventually unveiling the groundbreaking Magic Model. With over 20,000 boards shaped and a partnership with Global Surf Industries, Walden’s impact is global. He still surfs and competes, holding the record for the longest noseride in contest history at 25.5 seconds.
